Computing Commons

Students at Seneca College are supported with high quality and accessible information technology resources and services. Each campus provides access to a wide variety of general purpose and specialized computing labs. Each campus also provides access to a physical Computing Commons (open access computing facility) where students may access computers (outfitted with a full range of application software and Internet services), obtain technical support, print, scan and work individually or in groups.

In the Computing Commons, students are able to access general (e.g. e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet) and specialized software applications. Available specialized software is dependent on the campus and the academic requirements and offerings at a particular campus. All College computers have full Internet access with authentication.

Service Desk information technology support services are available to all students in-person (Newnham, Seneca@York, Markham, King) or by web or telephone.

For more information, please go to the Information Technology Services website or contact at 416.764.9900 or Servicedesk@senecapolytechnic.ca.

The Business, Technology, Computer Studies and Communication Arts Faculties offer access to specialized computer software and hardware such as SAP enterprise resource planning software, CAD systems, graphics, digital video editing and animation systems.
